It is a card you can use anywhere in Japan so that you can take medicine at a low cost. Without National Health Insurance, you must pay a very high medical fee if you get sick. Procedure:
After registering your resident card you can obtain National Health Insurance at the same place. There is a separate counter for this service simply you can get a token and wait for your turn. Then go to the counter and submit relevant documents. Within 5-10 min you can get your Insurance Card.
